The annual Mayor's Cup Regatta, a spectacular sailing race held on beautiful Lake Champlain highlights a week of celebration in July. The Plattsburgh Sunrise Rotary Club sponsors the race, which attracts close to 100 crews that set sail in pursuit of glory and the coveted Mayor's Cup. If you love sailing and appreciate viewing a picturesque panorama of sailing vessels of all shapes and sizes begin propelled by the wind on our country's sixth largest lake, you do not want to miss the Mayor's Cup in Plattsburgh. Entries into the race are always welcome. Plattsburgh Sunrise Rotary Club members perform a number of tasks prior to and on race day; the efforts of our member sailors and landlubbers are much appreciated and highly enjoyable.
