Rotary Radio Day
The Plattsburgh Sunrise Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Plattsburgh Noon Rotary Club takes to the airways to spread the word about the virtues of Rotary, promote local business and make a few dollars to support our many philanthropic activities. Thanks to Hometown Radio WIRY, a day (April Fool's Day in 2005, a mere coincidence) is dedicated to airing ads and talking about Rotary. This popular fundraiser provides the perfect forum for discussing our good works and feeling of fellowship. It's an excellent vehicle for winning friends and attracting new members to Rotary. Everyone participates at one level or other including those with the gift of gab who visit the WIRY studios, read ad copy and share tall tales about the many advantages of being a Rotarian.
