Sunrise Rotary getting wacky with winter

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Sunrise Rotary Club has made a $3,000 donation to earthquake relief in Haiti, through the Rotary Foundation Earthquake Relief Fund. The fund is carrying out relief and rebuilding projects in the areas still dramatically impacted by the January 2010 earthquakes.

New Lady in Red fundraiser planned

PLATTSBURGH — The Sunrise Rotary Club of Plattsburgh is sponsoring a new Lady in Red promotion to benefit the American Heart Association. The club has a mockup of a woman's body in a red dress and will be taking pictures of different people posing with their heads on the cutout. Sunrise Rotary President Ron Marino will be the kickoff model for the Lady in Red. He will retain his title for several days, at which time he will reach out to another community luminary to replace him.
