Our yard sale is "tag-less".....make us an offer!
All items are donated by the community and proceeds benefit the Sunrise Rotary Club of Plattsburgh.

WHEN: May 3rd from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the VFW on Boynton Ave., Plattsburgh. There is no rain date. If the weather is bad we will have the event inside. NO EARLY BIRDS.

WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS!
Donations can be dropped off on Friday, May 2nd from 3:00 PM - to 6:00 PM at the VFW on Boynton Ave..
To make other arrangements for donations please call Joan at 518-441-1818.

All items must be in clean working condition

Items we will not accept are:
•Beds - This includes mattress, frame, and head/footboards
•Computers
•Clothing - We will take shoes, coats, and hats
•Exercise Equipment
•Children's car seats - They can be outdated and we don't want to be responsible for anyone getting hurt.
•Refrigerators or Freezers

We are excited to welcome Dr. Anthony Garami, MD, FAAP, to our upcoming Rotary meeting. Dr. Garami is a board-certified pediatrician with Mountain View Pediatrics, where he has been serving families in the North Country since 2007. With a passion for providing compassionate, comprehensive care to children and adolescents, Dr. Garami is known for his approachable style and strong commitment to his patients and the broader community.

Originally from Long Island, Dr. Garami earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University at Buffalo. In addition to his cliCutnical work, he is actively involved in medical education and community health initiatives.

Join us for an engaging conversation as Dr. Garami shares his perspectives on Pediatric Mental Health.

Summer Picnic

The Sunrise Rotary's annual family picnic will take place on Thursday, August 7th, at 5:30pm, - rain or shine!

Location: Joanne & Kjell Dahlens house (Check your email for invite from Joanne including location address)

Picnic fare and dessert will be served, and beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. There is no charge and no need to bring a thing except your significant other, kids and grandkids!

Weather permitting there will be swimming and lawn games.

Abby recently obtained the rank of Eagle and is the first female scout in the Adirondack District (most of Clinton, Franklin, and Essex Counties, NY) to do so. Abby will be joined by her Eagle Scout brother, Caleb, and their father, Gerry Eagan, an Eagle Scout, and their mom, Christine Jabaut.

Nadine initiated the idea of creating a new type of partnership in the community focused on cultural exchange, aiming to increase our visibility, host more events, and connect with individuals who prefer a less committed approach to our regular club.

Our focus will be to engage and celebrate our diverse and multicultural community by fostering understanding and building connections among people from diverse backgrounds in our region through social projects and events such as:

Language exchange, music, and culinary experiences.

Partner with the international program committee on ongoing programs.

Host talks where Local speakers share their knowledge on diversity through their own experiences.

Mentorship with SUNY’s international students and the high school's multicultural clubs.

Create community involvement events such as the International Festival.

Everyone can bring a favorite hors d'oeuvres. See you there!

At our recent Board of Directors meeting, we reviewed updates to our Club Bylaws—something we’ve been aiming to revise for some time. With the release of new Rotary International guidelines and the need to address outdated information, we have completed a revised version that is now ready for membership review.

We kindly ask each of you to read through the updated bylaws and share any questions or suggested revisions with the Operations Committee, chaired by James Snook, prior to our October 7th meeting. Your feedback is important as we prepare to finalize this document.

The revised bylaws will be brought forward for discussion and perhaps a vote at our regular club meeting on October 7th.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your continued commitment to our club’s growth and governance.
