It's that time again when our club looks for an outstanding student from your school to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Program. Seton was well-represented last year by Ollie Hughes.

The program is a leadership development opportunity, so your emerging school leaders are welcome. We encourage students with disabilities to attend.

Over the past 24 years, the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh Sunrise has sponsored students in our local area to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Program

RYLA will be held in person at the RKY camp outside Kingston, Ontario, from May 23 to May 25, 2025.

Your students, who are 15-17 years old, can apply. A student cannot be 18 years old at the time of attendance.

Our Rotary Club pays all costs for the student, but the applicant's family or guardian must provide transportation. We will consider paying fuel costs if requested.

The drive time is approximately 4 hours one way.

Learn more about this program at https://rotary7040.com/page/ryla.

The deadline for students and families to contact me is April 18, 2025.

I am happy to come to your school to speak with you or potential applicants.

Parents, guardians, and students (with parents or guardians copied) may contact me at tdefayette@gmail.com for more information.

I am also available at (518) 570-2784.

All RYLA attendees have said it was an excellent experience for them. We look forward to sponsoring your student.

Best wishes.
