She leads the local Clinton County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and has served on community groups like the Community Services Board and Crisis Intervention Team
She was named secretary of the city's Charter Revision Commission under Mayor Wendell K. Hughes and has participated in local housing and political discussions in the Plattsburgh area.
She has also previously coordinated host family and homestay programs connected with SUNY Plattsburgh.
