Tariff Turbulence: What Importers Need to Know Following the End of IEEPA
The U.S. tariff landscape has shifted dramatically following the Supreme Court’s February 2026 ruling that brought the IEEPA tariffs to an immediate end. While IEEPA tariff collection ceased on February 24th, major questions remain around refund eligibility, timing, and the processes CBP or the courts may require. At the same time, new Section 122 tariffs—set at 10%, with a possible increase to 15%—take effect just one minute after the IEEPA tariffs expire, creating an urgent need for clarity as companies adjust compliance and cost‑planning strategies.
We are joined online by Michael Roll, partner at Roll & Harris LLP and a leading customs and international trade attorney, who will provide real‑time insights based on his work supporting importers across the country as they navigate these evolving developments.

Apr. 24, 2026 - Apr. 26, 2026
Mark your calendars to travel to Kingston on April 25, 2026, for a full day of Rotary fellowship, learning and fun at The Ambassador Conference Centre at the Hilton DoubleTree and Home2Suites (formerly known as The Ambassador Hotel). For those who are staying a night or two, the weekend will include optional and social events on Friday, an off-site welcome reception. On Sunday, try a Friendly Pickleball game (for the Foundation).
IS IT A ONE-DAY CONFERENCE?
Technically, yes. The conference content - all speakers, general sessions, breakouts, and traditions like the Parade of Flags and Memorial Service - will all take place on Saturday. Even a fun early morning wake-up session in the pool!
However, on Friday, there will be options for a bus tour of Kingston, including an opportunity to be up close with an Iron Lung (Polio), A tour of a BCG (Youth programming), a Monarch Butterfly movie and more.
The District meeting is late Friday afternoon, and a Welcome Reception. Sunday morning, for those who wish to start early and extend the fun, there is “Fun Pickleball for the Foundation!” Stay tuned for how to register for optional events.
Members can take advantage of incredibly low room rates (just CAD$179/night+taxes/fees) until March 23. This is especially helpful for anyone who has enough of a commute that would make one day just too long for comfort.
