SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR LAKE CHAMPLAIN!
The Town of Plattsburgh knows that Mayor’s Cup is all about celebrating Lake Champlain and that is why this year they are hosting the first annual Mayor’s Cup Paddle Party.
Kayaks and canoes will leave the small boat launch at the Plattsburgh City Marina promptly at 4:00pm. The paddle will last no more than one-hour and the course will be determined by wind and weather. Paddlers are encouraged to dress in festive attire (boats too!) and prizes will be given for creativity.
Afterwards, paddlers can enjoy live outdoor music and other activities at the Plattsburgh City Marina and stay for the Mayor’s Cup Awards Ceremony that begins at 6:00pm.
Register with the Town of Plattsburgh at 518-562-6860 and you can also inquire about renting a boat if needed (boat rentals are free of charge but available only on a first-come-first-served basis). The event is sure to be a hit with paddlers and spectators alike!
