In 2018, Sunrise Rotary provided financial support to The Adirondack Engineers, a local 4-H club of 7-12 graders, to help the club compete in the annual FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition and to educate, expose, and interest our regional youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
"Through your past support, we have elevated this local robotics team onto the world stage of robotics. Only 124 teams, of the 6,000 teams across the globe, earned a spot at the 2018 FTC World Championship in Detroit, Michigan. We were, and are excited to be, among the best of the best and look forward to continuing to represent our North Country region. For the 2018 season, we ended up 31st in the World in Offensive Points Rankings. A feat that we are most proud and one which we owe to the support from you and many others in our region.”
